Advantages of APR500 Handheld Reader 
  • The APR500 Reader is compatible to ISO Standard 11784/85 and reads FDX-B and HDX  tags with an excellent reading range of up to 25 cm
  • A mobile phone style keypad - incorporates a large screen with larger text for ease of use.
  • The large backlit graphic LCD can display up to 5 lines of 20 characters. 
  • Animal management data can be displayed instead of the electronic ID, these can be assigned in the field
  • A large memory (can hold up to 5,000 records) 
  • Great connectivity for data communication the APR 500 has USB, RS232 and Bluetooth (up to 100 m) as standard interfaces and optional GPRS or Wi-Fi offering state of the art wireless data communication. 
  • Robust IP64 rated housing, small enough to fit in a shirt pocket 
  • Effective function modes including:- 
  • CLASSIC Mode - user defined action codes and numeric values can be combined with the electronic ID.
  • SCALE Mode - linking weight data to specific IDs.
  • SPEED Mode - continuous ID reading and fast data collection.
  • RACE Mode - a flexible and economic solution for fast race reading, with display and memory, in combination with Agrident stationary readers.
  • TASK Mode - offers simple creation, of complex tasks, for data collection. Task mode uses 'loops' allowing repetition of the same fields i.e. when recording multiple lamb details at lambing time.  
  • Convenient power supply. Exchangeable AA type batteries can be recharged internally via a USB. If the rechargeable batteries run out of power, it is possible to exchange these for generics. 
  • The APR500 can be used with Agrident external stick antennas, for one-handed operation in difficult situations. 

  • Cost effective upgrade options are available including links to electronic weighing equipment and use with handling systems such as Alligator.
